How long does a rooftop solar system last, and how does it perform throughout its performance warranty?
The main components are solar panels and an inverter. Solar panels carry a 25-year performance warranty, with gradual annual degradation and at least 83% output remaining in year 25.
What warranty is included with the rooftop solar system?
Installation is warranted for one year. Equipment follows the manufacturer warranty: 12 years for solar panels and five years for the inverter.
Does a rooftop solar system need regular maintenance?
Yes. Periodic cleaning of the solar-panel surface helps keep the system operating at its best.
Can I install rooftop solar if my home has a 2,200 VA electricity connection?
For on-grid systems, the maximum installed capacity follows the PLN connection capacity. Our smallest system is 3 kW, so connections below 2,200 VA need a PLN capacity upgrade first.
Do you serve areas outside Greater Jakarta?
For now we serve Greater Jakarta because of transport and delivery access. Delivery outside the area may be arranged for projects with sufficient volume.
Does the offered rooftop solar system use a battery? What happens to unused energy?
The system is on-grid. Surplus electricity is sent to the PLN grid and the kWh meter offsets exported and imported energy. Subject to government rules, the electricity credit is valued at 100% of PLN's consumer kWh tariff and reflected on the electricity bill every three months.
My meter is prepaid (token). Can I install an export-import meter?
Yes, but your PLN customer type will change from prepaid to postpaid.
How do I replace my meter with an export-import meter?
We will help manage the PLN process. The offered rooftop solar package includes the administration and replacement cost for the export-import meter.
How can I measure the performance or output of my rooftop solar system?
The system includes online monitoring that you can access from a smartphone or website to review production and savings data.
Will rooftop solar damage my roof?
We conduct a survey before installation. If the roof structure needs attention, we will recommend a solution appropriate for the condition of your roof.
How much roof area is required?
As an illustration, a 3 kW system uses six solar modules at approximately 3 m2 each, requiring around 18 m2 of roof area.
How much can I save on my monthly electricity bill with rooftop solar?
Savings can be estimated as a percentage of your electricity bill. For a 3 kW system: 120 hours x 3 kW = 360 kWh/month; 360 x Rp1,450 is approximately Rp500,000/month.
